Challenge:

Our client in Stow, Ohio faced a deteriorating situation with their existing decks and steps. Under the back lower deck, critters had found a nesting spot, while sinking side deck posts resulted in a noticeable lean. The detachment and significant lean of the steps from the lower deck to the upper deck further compounded the issue, necessitating a complete overhaul of their deck.

Our Solution:

Our strategy involved a comprehensive approach. We began by dismantling the decking, railings, lower deck, and steps. Subsequently, we lifted the side deck using jacks and installed new posts and footings to address the sinking issue. Leveraging the existing framing, we then proceeded to install new decking, railing, and construct new steps. To deter critters, we replaced the lower deck with a paver patio. Finally, we reconstructed the steps, replaced decking on the upper deck, and installed new railings to complete the transformation.
